Admin Announcements

Happy December, Raider Families!

It’s hard to believe that the semester is almost over and we’re already halfway through the school year. The coming weeks are important for your students as they finish up coursework and prepare for final exams. We encourage you to have conversations with your student about any outstanding assignments and their study plans for finals. The final exam schedule is included in this newsletter for your reference.

As we approach the end of the semester, please take a moment to log in to PowerSchool to review your student’s schedule for the upcoming semester.

We hope you and your family enjoy a well-deserved Winter Break, filled with rest, relaxation, and quality time with loved ones.

Happy Holidays

Worked Based Learning

Northridge has 176 students enrolled in Work Based Learning this fall. The students work in local businesses and earn high school credit for the learning they are doing outside our building. Students work 1/2 days in the morning or afternoon, or all day, every other day. Students are required to work an average of 15 hours per week, but many work more than that. Jobs across all industry sectors, Manufacturing, Engineering, Health Sciences, Ag, IT, Education, Business, Banking, Culinary, Retail, Automotive/Transportation, and more. Many students are working in jobs that extend the learning they had in their CTE Program of Study! We are proud of the amazing work our students do as they add value to our community and learn more about their future career interests!

The WBL program is open to Juniors and Seniors. If your student is interested in joining Work Based Learning for next semester or next year, they can stop in Room 123 for more information! We would love to have you join  us!
