summer

A note from Mr. Kominowski.....
It is hard to believe that the end of the year is fast approaching! We have had a great year and I have really enjoyed working will all of your children. We have already begun to think about 2024-2025 school year. As we prepare to order materials, create class lists and other details, it is helpful to have an accurate student count. Please update us if you know there will be changes for your family next school year. I hope you have a safe and enjoyable summer. Please take the time to make some amazing memories! I look forward to hearing all about them next fall!

The week of April 29-May 3 is last time to check out books from the library.  All books are due back to the library by May 10.  If your student returns all their books by May 10, they will get to play a Plinko game to determine a prize for the next time they come to library class.  Students will still come for library class between May 6-17, but no book check out.

Clinic & Office Notes

All unclaimed lost and found items that are left on the last day of school will be donated to charity.

Please look through your child's clothing and return any borrowed items from our clinic ASAP. We are missing several pairs of sweatpants and underwear. Thank you!

Middlebury Summer Fun Day Camp 2024. The 5 week camp is based out of Riverbend Park and runs Monday - Friday from 9am - 3pm between June 0 - July 19. There is no camp the week of July 1-5. Campers must be between 6-12 years of age and must live in Middlebury school district. While the program is free to attend, there are certain activities like field trips and inflatables that have associated costs. Parents have paid the costs of the entry fees for the kids and in recent years have helped offset the costs of the inflatable water slides during the kid favorite Water Days.

The staff and students of York would like to say a very big "THANK YOU!" to our PTO and everything they do to help support and enrich our school. They help fund several special events, projects, and equipment for our classrooms and students. They make sure our students get to go on a field trip each year with little to no cost. The list could go on and on!

The PTO would love others to join and help. Email the president at yorkptopres@gmail.com to learn more ways you can help.

From everyone at York,
"Thank you PTO!"

We look forward to our end of the year events. Make sure you check out the May events calendar. Here are some special things happening the last week of school:
