summer

A note from Mr. Kominowski.....
It is hard to believe that the end of the year is fast approaching! We have had a great year and I have really enjoyed working will all of your children. We have already begun to think about 2025-2026 school year. As we prepare to order materials, create class lists and other details, it is helpful to have an accurate student count. Please update us if you know there will be changes for your family next school year. I hope you have a safe and enjoyable summer. Please take the time to make some amazing memories! I look forward to hearing all about them next fall!

lib

The week of May 5- May 9 is last time to check out books from the library.  All books are due back to the library by the week of May 12.  If your student returns all their books by the week of May 12, they will get to play a Plinko game to determine a prize. Students will still come for library class between May 12-29, but no book check out.

Clinic & Office Notes

All unclaimed lost and found items that are left on the last day of school will be donated to charity.

Please look through your child's clothing and return any borrowed items from our clinic ASAP. We are missing several pairs of sweatpants and underwear. Thank you!

Update Us!

If you know that your student will not be returning to York next school year, please contact the school as soon as possible.

You may update any phone numbers or contact changes by logging into PowerSchool and adding or changing that information.

Transportation changes need to be completed by July 18th. Please fill out a transportation change request form on the MCS website.

The staff and students of York would like to say a very big "THANK YOU!" to our PTO and everything they do to help support and enrich our school. They help fund several special events, projects, and equipment for our classrooms and students. They make sure our students get to go on a field trip each year with little to no cost. The list could go on and on!

The PTO would love others to join and help. Email the president at yorkptopres@gmail.com to learn more ways you can help.

From everyone at York,
"Thank you PTO!"

We look forward to our end of the year events. Make sure you check out the May events calendar. Here are some special things happening the last week of school:

Thursday, May 22nd, we welcome DJ Sticky Boots to enjoy some dancing on the blacktop for the afternoon.

Tuesday, May 27th is our Crew Day. Make sure to dress for a day of outdoor activities and a picnic lunch from the cafeteria.

Wednesday, May 28th is our color run for staff and students. Third graders will "throw" the colors!

We will be producing one more newsletter for the end of the year that will contain information for this summer as well as the beginning of school year events in August.
